Champ is a consistent field trial competitor, duck hunter, and loyal companion. At 78 pounds his desire and focus in the field are unmatched and he's one of the most stylish retrievers you will see in the game today. He's is very intelligent, easy to train and has a keen sense of communication with people. His greatest qualities are the desire to please, and his heart. He has the heart of a lion that I get to see every time he takes us to the 4th series, and he truly lives and breathes to please me as his trainer and companion. All the qualities that make champ a great competitor make him the most loyal companion one could dream. Champ has an off switch which is a great quality that was passed from his father and can been seen in his pups. They can separate field work with being a companion and a member of the family which truly speaks to their intelligence. Champ Q-AA at 2 years old, has an open 3rd (washington retriever club trial), finished the 2010 season with a 78% completion ratio and is currently running all age stakes in chase of the titles FC AFC. The 2011 season is half way over and we expect a strong finish with a 3rd in Portland and a reserve jam at Northwest this spring. Champ turned 4 this year and we've seen a maturity in him and are expecting him to follow in his fathers footsteps. Champ is genetically clear of CNM and EIC, and has all health clearances including hips, and eyes.
